The Consultation Process
Step 1
Free Consultation
When you contact me, I will carry out an initial, brief, free telephone consultation, where we can discuss what you hope to achieve from hypnotherapy. If we both feel that treatment would be beneficial for you, we can then decide whether you would like to book your first session. I will then produce a treatment plan.
Step 2
First Session
The first session lasts approximately 60 minutes and can either be online or face to face. A private, quite room is therefore required, free from distractions. The session is an extremely relaxing and enjoyable experience, at the end of which you will feel much more confident and empowered to address your issues.
Step 3
Further Sessions
After your initial 60-minute session, all following sessions will last for 50 to 60 minutes. The number of sessions that you require will depend on the issues that you wish to tackle; this will be discussed with you in the first session. Hypnotherapy is usually a short-term therapy; most clients will feel the benefits after undertaking 3-4 sessions.
Everyone experiences Hypnosis in their own way, but it is a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Hypnotherapy is a safe practice, and clients will always be aware of and in control of the process and what is happening around them.
All clients, if willing, can be hypnotised. However, if a client is reluctant to be hypnotised or is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, hypnotherapy may not be suitable, and an alternative therapy may be more appropriate. Hypnotherapy may not be suitable for very young children and clients with severe cognitive impairment.
Payment for each session is made before each session. Payment methods will be discussed with you on your telephone consultation
Online Sessions
Online hypnotherapy, conducted via video call, is a safe and effective way to access hypnotherapy support. It offers the convenience of remote sessions, potentially more comfortable for clients who feel at ease in the comfort of their own home. It has been proven to be just as successful as in-person appointments.
Online sessions are our most popular method of providing our service, accounting for over 80% of our work. We make use of video conferencing facilities such as WhatsApp, Teams, Skype, Zoom, or any video conferencing service provider of your choice.
The sessions are best conducted wearing headphones to block any potential distractions and enhance sound quality. We provide a step-by-step checklist of things to prepare in order to help avoid any technological glitches and create the right environment for the session.
